چکیده
We present a case of Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy (TC) which is non ischemic cardiomyopathy. It stress related and also known as broken heart syndrome. The patient presented to our emergency department with symptoms chest pain breathlessness. was diagnosed acute coronary syndrome various tests including ECG, Screening ECHO, Coronary CT Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR) were done before arriving at the diagnosis TC. Currently CMR modality choice it detects wall motion abnormalities (WMA), presence edema late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) characteristics can be well appreciated. No intervention managed medically.

Takotsubo cardiomyopathy complicated by cardiac tamponade
We describe a 76-year-old patient with takotsubo cardiomyopathy complicated by cardiac tamponade. Pericardial effusion in takotsubo cardiomyopthy is common but a cardiac tamponade is very rare. The use of anticoagulants may increase the risk of pericardial effusion and should be considered with care.

At admission, the pati...
متن کاملRole of echocardiography in takotsubo cardiomyopathy.
Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TTC) is characterized by transient and reversible left ventricular (LV) systolic dysfunction due to extended myocardial stunning. Despite a good long term prognosis, approximately one-third of patients with TTC experience life-threatening complications during the acute phase. Echocardiography is the first imaging modality for an early evaluation of LV systolic and dias...
متن کاملStress Cardiomyopathy (Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy)
BACKGROUND Due to the rise in the number of reports of stress cardiomyopathy in the literature, awareness of this condition is increasing. Although different names have been used to describe this condition, the similarities in clinical, electrocardiographic, echocardiographic, and angiographic features suggest that they represent the same spectrum of diseases with different underlying causes. T...
متن کاملTakotsubo Cardiomyopathy
Since the first report in 1990, takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TTC) has been increasingly recognized as a novel form of nonischemic acute cardiomyopathy. It is an important differential in diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) due to its similar presentation. However, it distinguishes itself from an ACS in the fact that regional wall motion abnormalities extend beyond a single coronary vascular...
